JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful delivery and execution of technology initiatives within an assigned business-aligned team. This role serves as both a strategic partner and operational leader—collaborating with business stakeholders to define priorities, while managing multidisciplinary technical teams consisting of software engineers, data engineers, and product owners. The Technical Delivery Manager ensures project objectives are met through effective planning, governance, and communication, driving measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced financial lending environment.

  • Partner with business leaders to define priorities, scope, and success criteria for all initiatives within the assigned Pod.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects across software engineering, data engineering, and product management functions.
  • Translate business goals into actionable plans and manage execution through effective coordination, communication, and accountability.
  • Oversee project lifecycle management, including requirements, resource planning, timelines, risk mitigation, and post-delivery reviews.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and transparency across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and serve as the primary liaison between business partners and technical delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain delivery metrics and reports to communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership.
  • Support governance practices by ensuring adherence to delivery standards, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to engineers and product owners to drive alignment, quality, and professional growth.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity and delivery consistency.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal business units, vendors, and technology partners.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in technology delivery, project management, or engineering leadership roles.
  • Proven success managing cross-functional technical teams delivering complex software or data solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

 

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of financial lending processes, especially within loan origination and servicing systems.
  • Experience in auto or consumer lending technology ecosystems.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), modern data technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, AI, Cursor), and CI/CD practices.
  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position directly supervises a team of technical professionals, including software engineers, data engineers, and product owners.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of Monday–Friday, with some schedule variations as needed.


Travel

This position may require up to 20% travel.
