The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Finance & Treasury team by providing analytical, reporting, and problem-solving support across our core areas in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Capital Markets, and Financial Operations. This role is designed for highly motivated students seeking to launch their career in corporate finance with the ideal candidate being detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and eager to contribute to strategic decision-making that drives company performance and growth.
 
Essential Finance & Treasury Functions 
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget, monthly financial reporting, analysis of current & projected financial performance, as well as ad hoc projects when required
  • Support daily cash management activities, including preparation of cash availability reporting, monitoring funding requirements, and ensuring timely execution of borrowing and investing transactions
  • Perform various complex activities related to variance analysis, capital planning, competitor and macro-economic surveillance, and analysis of industry trends
  • Maintain and improve efficacy of meeting daily funding needs of the business through stewarding cash forecasting models
  • Assist in the execution and administration of the company’s funding and securitization programs through data analysis, creating/updating external presentations, preparing pools of loans for the different financings, analyzing terms of various financing opportunities, coordination with external partners (including rating agencies, investment banks, legal counsel, etc.) and organizing/reviewing deal documentation
  • Analyze business problems within the company with a focus on improving the operations of the Finance Department and underlying business performance
  • Monitor financial facility performance, complete reconciliations, and prepare reporting for external banking partners
  • Identify and recommend process improvements within the department to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls
  • Contribute to key strategic decisions that align execution and performance through effective communication of analytical insights to a variety of audiences
 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant discipline 
  • Strong initiative with willingness and desire to work extra hours when required to complete the job
  • Must appreciate and thrive in an environment where self-direction, autonomy, and creative problem-solving are required
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment where every day presents unique challenges and opportunities
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Excel a necessity; ability within Workday, SQL, or PowerBI a plus
  • 1-2+ years of financial institution/finance company experience within accounting or finance is a plus
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and time management skills
 
Supervisory Responsibility 
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.   
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands 
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.   
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This is a full-time, in-office position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some weekend work required.
Travel 
Limited (<10%) travel may be needed in this role.
