Makeup and Hair Crew Supervisor (Part-Time Over-Hire)

The Over-Hire Makeup and Hair Crew Supervisor will oversee the Hair/Makeup crew and cast for AMDA theatrical productions. They will assist and instruct student cast members and staff/student crew in makeup application, as well as hair and wig styling/application. They will help prep makeup and wigs prior to tech and maintain throughout the run. As needed, they will help with wig and makeup quick changes during performances. Productions typically tech and perform over the course of eight days (Sunday to Sunday). Weekends are day and evening hours, weeknights are evenings only.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Hair/Makeup crew and cast for AMDA productions
- Assist and instruct student cast members and staff / student crew in makeup application as well as hair and wig styling / application.
- Prep and maintain makeup and wigs
- Assist with wig and makeup quick changes during performances
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in related area
- Makeup Certificate or relevant industry experience
- Must be knowledgeable in various styles of makeup and hair
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to remain professional while instructing staff and students
- Ability to work individually and as a team player
- Flexibility in scheduling
Position Information:
- This position is on an as needed basis and there is no guarantee of hours
- The pay range for this position is $30.00 – 32.00 per hour
- This position is subject to a background check upon a conditional offer of employment and a reference check
- This is a fully in-person Position
