The Art Guild Leader will guide and inspire Amber Taiwan's artists to a world class level and contribute to the long-term strategy and development of Amber Art Guild worldwide.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall art recruitment plan and oversee talent acquisitions
  • Tailor each artist's career development plan and help them reach their full potential
  • Motivate art team members and keep everyone focused on tasks at hand
  • Scale the art team continuously and groom future art leaders
  • Ensure art team delivers to quality consistently and efficiently
  • Provide the best solution for allocating team members that match their strengths to studios/projects
  • Identify and drive training programs to boost artistic and technical skills across the board
  • Participate in project pitches with art resource estimation, schedule, and art cost estimation
  • Take responsibility of art team budget
  • Evaluate art team members and compensation periodically
  • If needed, act as project Art Director

Requirements:
  • Art portfolio demonstrating both artistic and technical skills
  • Experience in building / leading / managing a successful art team
  • Superior communication skills in Mandarin
  • English proficiency
  • Ability to motivate others and maintain a positive, professional attitude
  • Art education degree or similar
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the game industry or other visual creative industries
  • Passionate gamer

Pluses:
  • Software proficiency in PhotoShop, 3ds Max, Maya, ZBrush, and/or Substance 3D
  • Technical experience such as game art optimization, shader, UV, LOD, etc.
  • Experience working with VFX and Technical Artists
  • Experience working closely with game engineers
