WHAT WILL YOU DO

The LIS Outreach Support Manager manages all activities regarding implementation, maintenance, training, and support of middleware used to support bi-directional orders/results interfaces between Alverno Laboratories and Alverno Laboratories’ owner/client/other software systems. Responsibilities include implementation, maintenance and support of interfaces to/from hospital, client, and other software systems; creation and maintenance of all policies and procedures required for configuration, maintenance, and use of middleware, creation and maintenances of all policies and procedures required for accrediting and regulatory agencies; and supervisory responsibility for LIS Outreach Support Specialists. Occasional travel to remote facilities/clients. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of the supporting faith-based health ministries while performing all job functions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Professional Experience: Minimum four years’ experience working in a laboratory LIS or a laboratory setting supporting Information Systems.

Experience with implementation of software systems and/or Project Management preferred.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Education/Training: Required education/training for this role includes one of the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Information Services, or business related field with two (2) years relevant healthcare/ laboratory, information services experience -or- b. Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Information Services, or business-related field with four (4) years relevant healthcare/laboratory information services experience.

Skills: Additional required skills: Demonstrates very good written, verbal and listening skills. b. Demonstrates very good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates and enforces very good customer service, team building and communication skills to work effectively in integrated lab setting.

Demonstrates a focus on quality improvement and process improvement as a means for improving patient care and organizational stability through information services/systems.

Demonstrates ability to engage with internal and external customers to identify and determine methods for meeting their business needs.
