WHAT WILL YOU DO

This individual is responsible for directing, planning, controlling and managing all clinical and administrative functions for the Microbiology department. Responsibilities include personnel, budgeting, maintaining relationships with clients, physicians and with all affiliated hospitals, supporting hospital functions from the laboratory perspective and representing ACL within the hospital and outreach environments. He/she will have demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills as well as high levels of competence in clinical and management practices. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of our Catholic healthcare systems while performing all job functions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor degree in the Sciences with Medical Technology training plus eight (8) years relevant experience in high complexity testing of Microbiology.

At least three (3) years of Microbiology supervisory / management experience required.

MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP) registry or equivalant preferred.
