Position Summary:
We are seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our team. In this role, you will facilitate the successful execution of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. As an RTE, you will be instrumental in coordinating and guiding cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with program objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
· Release Management: Organize and coordinate multi contractor and cross functional teams to plan, build, test and deliver quality system releases to operational systems
· Facilitate ART Events: Organize and facilitate key ART events, including Program Increment (PI) planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect and Adapt workshops.
· Coach Teams: Provide guidance and support to Scrum Masters and teams on Agile principles and practices to enhance their performance and maturity.
· Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and address impediments that may hinder the progress of the ART, ensuring teams can deliver on their commitments.
· Coordinate Dependencies: Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders to manage dependencies across teams and ensure alignment with program goals.
· Track Progress: Monitor and report on ART progress, including team performance metrics, PI objectives, and risks, to ensure transparency and accountability.
· Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the ART, encouraging teams to reflect on their processes and implement enhancements.
· Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between teams and management, communicating progress, challenges, and opportunities effectively.
· Training and Mentorship: Conduct training sessions for teams and stakeholders on Agile methodologies and practices.
 
Qualifications:
· Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant software development experience including 5+ years of experience in a Release Train Engineer or similar Agile leadership role.
· Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
· Experience in leading and facilitating cross-functional teams in a software development environment.
· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for fostering collaboration.
· Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
· Relevant certifications (e.g., SAFe RTE, Certified ScrumMaster) are a plus.

 

In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for these positions is $130,000 to $200,000.  However, Altamira Technologies Corporation considers multiple variables when determining compensation, including but not limited to, the level of responsibilities, prior work experience, education/certifications, customer contractual specifications, and any clearance requirements.
