Dayton - Full Time – Active TS/SCI security clearance required required

Altamira Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer, in support of a government customer in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will provide technical support including subject matter expertise and analysis of new research concepts and technology ideas, technical advice of research proposals, testing and evaluation of technologies, independent verification and validation of performance metrics, modeling & simulation, assessment of technology readiness levels, and assistance in technology adoption.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Performs analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Assist in developing new programs, program goals, metrics and milestones, drafting documents including but not limited to Broad Agency Announcements (BAA) Topics, Program Overview Slides, Statements of Work, Program Approval Documents (PADs), Technology Transition Agreements (TTAs), and Risk Assessment Documents (RADs)
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide technical analysis and assessments of the concepts and related technologies
  • Conduct literature searches and investigations of reference and technical textbooks, academic and professional societies’ papers, and conference presentations and papers using available data sources for knowledge of new technologies
  • Perform functional analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • A MA/MS and 13 years of relevant experience , or a BA/BS and 15 years of relevant experience.
    • Degree must be in Systems Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is required; CI Polygraph may be required.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in customer phenomenology
  • Knowledge of Cloud services

Physical Requirements / Travel

  • Must be able to work in an office environment at a desk and computer.
  • May travel ~10% to conferences, program reviews, industry meetings, or other collaborative events. Most or all travel would be CONUS.
