Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Planner / Scheduler to coordinate and manage project schedules across a large software architecture program. In this role, you will ensure that project timelines are effectively developed and maintained, facilitating the on-time delivery of project milestones. Your analytical skills and proactive approach will be essential in optimizing resource allocation and identifying potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and Maintain Schedules: Create and update project schedules using project management software, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
· Resource Allocation: Collaborate with project managers and team leads to allocate resources effectively and optimize productivity.
· Monitor Progress: Track project progress against the schedule, identifying any deviations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
· Risk Management: Identify potential scheduling conflicts and risks, providing timely solutions to minimize impact on project timelines.
· Communication: Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, providing regular updates on schedule status and facilitating discussions on schedule-related issues.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of scheduling changes, updates, and project documentation for reference and compliance.
· Reporting: Generate regular reports on project timelines, resource utilization, and performance metrics for management review.
· Continuous Improvement: Evaluate scheduling processes and tools, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in planning / scheduling, focusing on large-scale systems using Agile methodologies, and SAFe framework.
· Expertise in project management software (e.g., Open Plan (preferred) Microsoft Project or equivalent).
· Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is a plus.
· Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for these positions is $80,000 to $130,000. However, Altamira Technologies Corporation considers multiple variables when determining compensation, including but not limited to, the level of responsibilities, prior work experience, education/certifications, customer contractual specifications, and any clearance requirements.
