Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to lead our configuration management efforts across various projects. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust configuration management processes that ensure the integrity and consistency of product configurations throughout their lifecycle. Your expertise will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth project execution, enhancing quality assurance, and driving continuous improvement across our teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and Implement Plans: Create and execute comprehensive configuration management plans that align with project goals and industry best practices.
· Manage Configuration Items: Oversee the lifecycle of configuration items (CIs) within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Conduct Compliance Audits: Perform regular audits to verify adherence to configuration management standards and identify areas for improvement.
· Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with engineering, development, and operations teams to collect and maintain precise configuration data.
· Version Control and Change Management: Establish and manage processes for version control and change management of software and hardware configurations to minimize disruptions.
· Support Releases: Facilitate software and hardware release processes, providing necessary documentation and training to stakeholders.
· Monitor Metrics: Track and analyze configuration management metrics, providing insights and recommendations for enhanced performance.
· Drive Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine configuration management practices to implement industry best practices and increase efficiency.
 
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field.
· 8+ years of experience in configuration management, focusing on large-scale systems using Agile methodologies, and SAFe framework.
· Proficiency with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
· Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
· Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks is preferred.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
· Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
· Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CM2, ITIL).
· Documentation Management for Program Technical Baseline
· Experience with large multi contractor provided configuration items including but not limited to in house development, sub-contractors, associate contractors, third party commercial off the shelf or open source software
· Experience with configuration and documentation management across multi sites, contractor facilities, commercial cloud environments and security classification levels
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for these positions is $90,000 to $160,000.  However, Altamira Technologies Corporation considers multiple variables when determining compensation, including but not limited to, the level of responsibilities, prior work experience, education/certifications, customer contractual specifications, and any clearance requirements.
