Vermeer All Roads is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic to cover the eastern Virginia territory (Hampton Roads/Chesapeake). In this field-based role, you’ll travel to customer sites to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer machinery and components—completing work safely, professionally, and on time.
Compensation & Schedule
- $28–$40/hour (based on experience)
- Production bonuses available
- Full-time, Monday–Friday

Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Branch Service Manager
- Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulic and hydrostatic systems (electrical diagnostics as needed)
- Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare accurate estimates
- Perform welding/fabrication as required
- Apply current industry/technical advancements in daily work
- Maintain accurate, detailed records of all repairs performed
- Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Hands-on hydraulic and hydrostatic experience
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Welding experience
- Ability to travel within assigned territory for field service calls
- Excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude: ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
