RMS Truck Bodies is expanding! We’re seeking a skilled Mechanic / Technician / Fabricator—or a motivated trainee eager to learn—to install and service hydraulic equipment on truck bodies. You’ll perform quality work safely, professionally, and efficiently in a supportive, growth-minded shop.
Compensation & Schedule
- $25+/hour (based on experience)
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Full-time, benefits-eligible

Responsibilities
- Install, plumb, and commission hydraulic equipment on truck bodies (e.g., pumps, valves, cylinders, PTOs)
- Perform light fabrication/welding, mounting, and fit-up of equipment and accessories
- Route hoses and wiring; perform basic 12V electrical hookups and testing
- Read/use build sheets, drawings, and spec sheets; verify parts and configurations
- Troubleshoot hydraulic/mechanical issues and complete quality repairs
- Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Document work performed and parts used; other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Preferred: experience with hydraulics, light welding/fabrication, or 12V electrical (will train the right candidate)
