Medical Receptionist, Full Time

 

Located in Staten Island, NY Pediatric Health Care is dedicated to providing the best care possible.  Our pediatricians will take the time you needed to answer any and all questions our patients have Our Clinical Team consists of 3 Pediatricians.

 

We are seeking a candidate for a Medical Receptionist position. The Medical Receptionist role is everyone’s first point of contact for the office. Flexibility, professional appearance, good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are crucial for this role. The office requires attention to details while maintaining a welcoming presence for both patients, their parents, and visitors.

 

Monday – Friday: 8:30 am-5:00 pm
Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 am-2:00pm

Position Responsibilities:

 

         Greeting patients and visitors

         Answering telephones in a courteous and professional manner.

         Scheduling appointments for patients

         Collecting copays or balance due

         Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, computer knowledge

         Must be personable, organized, and reliable

         Must like children and have a pleasant demeanor with children

         Multilingual (Spanish primarily) speaking a PLUS

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year in a medical office, pediatric experience a PLUS
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of EMR is required. Experience with GE Centricity preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Medical office that is both physically and emotionally demanding
  • Standing or stooping for long periods of time.
  • Mild physical labor to complete the tasks at hand.
  • Exposure to blood, chemicals, and other bodily fluids.
  • Possible heavy lifting (infants, toddlers, children)
  • Other physical demands that coincide with the duties of a laboratory professional.

Compensation & Benefits offered:

 

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour; Negotiable
