Medical Receptionist, Full Time

 

We are seeking candidates for experienced Medical Receptionists. Flexibility, professional appearance, good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are crucial for this role. The office requires attention to details while maintaining a welcoming presence for both patients, their parents, and visitors.

 

For this position, availability and flexibility are very important because your schedule may vary from week to week based upon the staffing needs of the office. Proposed schedule:

Monday: 1 PM - 7 PM
Tuesday: 1 PM - 7 PM
Wednesday: 1 PM - 7 PM
Thursday: 1 PM - 7 PM
Friday:1 PM -5 PM  or 1 PM - 7 PM
Saturday:8 AM - 2 PM (1-2 Saturdays a month)

Preferred Qualifications for Ideal Candidates:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge and experience as a Medical Receptionist highly preferred
  • Minimum of one year in a medical office, pediatric experience a PLUS
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge of EMR is required. Experience with GE Centricity preferred.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients and visitors
  • Answering telephones in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Scheduling appointments for patients
  • Collecting copays or balance due
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, computer knowledge
  • Must be personable, organized and reliable
  • Must like children and have a pleasant demeanor with children

 

The Location: Pediatric Health Care, Staten Island, NY

Compensation & Benefits offered:

(You must work a minimum of 30 hours a week to be eligible for benefits)
