Land Acquisition Manager
Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to include, but not limited to):
· Identify potential land acquisition opportunities through market research, site visits, and networking.
· Evaluate land parcels for suitability based on project requirements, zoning regulations, environmental considerations, and other factors.
· Negotiate land purchase agreements, including price, terms, and conditions, in coordination with legal and finance teams.
· Coordinate due diligence activities, including environmental assessments, title reviews, and zoning approvals.
· Work closely with internal teams, including development, engineering, and construction, to ensure that land acquisition meets project timelines and objectives.
· Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, and other stakeholders.
· Monitor market trends and property values to inform land acquisition strategies and decision-making.
· Prepare and present land acquisition proposals, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or related field.
· Strong understanding of real estate principles, land use regulations, and market dynamics.
· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate analysis software.
· Experience with GIS mapping software is a plus.
· Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED accreditation is a plus.
