Workforce Analytics Manager

Align Technology is looking for a Workforce Analytics Manager for our Raleigh, NC office. The Workforce Analytics Manager should have exceptional skills with telling the story with people data and insight gathering for our global HR leadership team.

Summary

The focus of this position will be to provide insights to our global HR leadership team along with managing the workforce analytics team.

This role requires the ability to focus and deliver in a rapidly changing environment.  You must have a strong desire to learn, lead change, be able to think strategically, execute strategy, and collaborate. This position will be a key contributor in the Global HR group. He/she will work in close partnership with Global HR leadership and use data/insights to drive strategy and evaluation of the Align workforce & other programs. You must enjoy working cross functionally and building effective, strong relationships with all assigned business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the workforce analytics team and continue to innovate new solutions using data to solve complex talent questions using predictive and prescriptive analytics
  • Responsible leading the workforce analytics team to providing in-depth evaluations of factors in HR Reporting, Analytics, Insights, Workforce Trends, and Recommendations support for the Global HR organization
  • Provide analytic support for complex development of the Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plans
  • Deliver Big Data Business Intelligence to drive ‘Actionable’ business decisions to executive leadership drawing from multiple systems such as Workday, LMS platforms, ATS, and other global HR data sources
  • Exercises independent judgement while applying proactive, strategic thinking to develop and manage complex analysis in order to identify key change initiatives within the global HR organization
  • Development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) that help identify business opportunities and measure HR performance at the global level
  • Networks with key contacts to stay update to date with current market trends and new techniques to analyze HR analytics and generate both predictive and prescriptive measures
  • Create and generate key ongoing reports such as a weekly business performance metrics that includes relevant analysis and commentary along with providing ad hoc analysis on as needed basis
  • Ability to provide support to the Global HR organization team in answering questions and providing proactive analytics related to HR reports, talent trends, and employee insights using a wide-range of professional concepts and industry best practices
  • HR data extraction, validation, manipulation, and analysis, aimed to provide insights and recommendations to the global HR management team
  • Applies proactive, strategic thinking to develop and manage complex analysis in order to identify drivers behind HR performance including headcount, attrition trends, and employee development
  • Create metrics and reporting to identify trends in talent acquisition, total rewards, talent management, retention, employee demographics, and other key human capital metrics
  • Proactively provide suggestions to improve existing reporting and ideas for new reporting that would provide more actionable business insights
  • Validates HR data to ensure accuracy of various daily, weekly, and quarterly HR reports and dashboards

Requirements

  • Knowledge of HCM systems such as Workday, Jobvite, LMS platforms, and Survey platforms
  • Knowledge of workforce planning principles, BI trends, digital solutions, and analytical best practices
  • Experience in reporting and visualization (PowerBI, DOMO, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.) required
  • Proficiency in building models and dashboards in MS Excel is required
  • Proficiency of advanced formulas such as V/Hlookup, Index, Match, Filters in MS Excel is required
  • Database query skills are required (specifically, MS Excel, MS Access or SQL)
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and tools a strong plus
  • 6-10 years of experience in the HR and/or data analytics roles preferably
  • 6-10 years of experience in HR Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Strong analytics, quantitative, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses, and present insights and recommendations
  • Detail oriented with focus on quality and accuracy

Education and/or Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with HR Analytics and/or data analytics
  • Prefer Workforce Planning experience within global business environment
  • Strong project management skills – must be able to set project schedules, manage tasks, influence others without authority and mitigate project risks
  • Exception Excel and database management skills
