The Regional Finance Manager - Europe should have excellent communications abilities, strong interpersonal and financial skills that are consistent with the organization’s culture.

You will be able to able to create a vision and goals that will inspire and motivate members of the finance team. The individual holding this position should be result-oriented and able to help members of the finance team improve their performance.

Be a facilitator who can bring together the necessary tools, information, and resources for members of the finance team to get the job done and done effectively. The individual should understand the big picture with the ability to identify potential opportunities and threats to the organization as a result of changes in the business environment.

Be able to teach other members of the finance team and help them develop to their fullest potential while maintaining an appropriate balance of authority and accountability. The individual holding this position should be a role model who is able to “walk the talk” and demonstrate the type of behavior and professionalism desired from finance team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop and implement Finance / Accounting plans, policies and procedures in line with corporate finance strategy in order to support the achievement of overall business objectives
  • Ensure the effective implementation of plans, policies and procedures through leadership of a specialist Finance Department team – setting goals and objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating employees - in order to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved
  • Responsible of managing financial aspects of foreign bureaus – Europe
  • Assist and monitor all aspects of the Finance Department including but not limited to AP, AR, payroll and GL
  • Provide high-level, strategic consultative advice as required to other business area senior managers to allow the realization of cost saving or efficiency opportunities
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with other departments and senior business management as well as external agencies and service providers in order to understand ongoing business activities and the impact on the financial management and support the smooth provision of finance/accounting services across the organization
  • Managing and controlling Fixed Assets of the company, including acquisition and disposal
  • Maintain an awareness of best practice techniques and tools in the area of financial management so that the department optimizes efficiency, levels of service and the quality of the outputs
  • Maintain an ongoing awareness of statutory and legal requirements and ensure that these are communicated to the related employees
  • Attend and contribute to business planning and decision making meetings in order to communicate effectively within the organization and provide financial/accounting input and support to overall business decision making
  • Manage and control the production and submission a monthly financial statement package according to stated schedules so that the company complies with statutory reporting requirements and senior managers in other business areas are accurately apprised of financial performance
  • Liaise with external bodies and representatives (e.g. regulatory authorities, external auditors, Group company representatives) as required to ensure that any queries are answered in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities and variance analysis
  • Financial audit preparation and coordination of the audit process of internal and annual statutory audits
  • Analyze and report business operations including expenditure trends and financial commitments
  • Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting , Finance or related field is a must. Professional certification is preferred – ACCA, ACA, ACMA, etc.
  • 7-8 years of experience in related field with 2-3 years of experience at managerial/team lead level
  • Ideally, you have worked in Big 4 as well as in-house Finance role
  • Proficiency in Arabic language is a plus

You will have knowledge on:

  • Accounting systems especially in SAP-ERP
  • Financial accounting principles, review and audit techniques
  • IFRS and state financial regulations for bureaus
  • International taxation and transfer pricing principles
