Summary


We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards ERP System Support Specialist to join our team. You will play an integral role in supporting a major account in the Mississauga, ON area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) who understands business processes and systems to support JDE business applications.
  • Fundamental knowledge of business processes across various disciplines such as Finance, Projects/Contracts/Service Orders, Accounts Payable and Receivables, Distribution and Payroll
  • Participate in operation support of the JD Edwards system.
  • Primarily responsible for Level 1 & 2 end-user application support of JDE ERP system and integrated systems (i.e. Reporting, Business Intelligence, Field Service Management)
  • Strong fundamental troubleshooting skills and the ability to apply those skills to assist troubleshooting on a wide range of information systems and applications.
  • Document, track, and follow-up on all inquiries, incidents, problems and service requests as assigned. Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
  • Escalate difficult problems as appropriate while remaining in contact with the user until acceptable resolution occurs.
  • Propose system solutions and identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement
  • Assists in functional designs and implementations and system upgrades as needed.
  • Adapt business and technology processes beyond the JDE system – portable knowledge across lines of businesses

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • 5+ years of JDE ERP system Technical Support function required
  • Perform JDE ERP system user account management (Password Reset, Account Creation/Modification, Access/Profile setup).
  • Setup & troubleshoot JDE batch processes, UI screens and versions
  • Assist with supporting and guiding business users with reporting and business intelligence tools.  This includes analytics of the data presented to the audience
  • Escalate support concerns with application teams
  • Support testing/UAT and QA as needed
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced knowledge in supporting Microsoft technologies such as Office Suite (Excel)
  • Strong and confident communicator to interface with IT and business
  • Adhere to and follows IT governance practices and polices as defined
