Job Summary

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for data entry integrity, purchasing support for remote offices, and for select administrative functions in Central Purchasing. Purchasing Agent is responsible for troubleshooting and correcting invoices/POs as directed.

 
Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve referral invoices from AP in a timely manner
  • Assist in resolving issues with pricing, invoicing, part #, etc as directed.
  • Assist with phone coverage for purchasing department.
  • Ensure purchasing information is entered into the JDE system in a timely and accurate way.
  • Process purchase order requests as directed.
  • Maintain PO files for Central Purchasing.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all job functions safely and healthfully, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, JDE One World, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals.
  • A systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking.
  • College diploma or certificate in a field related to Key Responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks. Working knowledge of the English language both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a heavy workload.
  • Professional, friendly, and strong interpersonal skills.
