Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Senior Account Executive - BAS will be primarily responsible for prospecting and developing new customers and opportunities and expanding our footprint in the GTA Market. The candidate should be a proven and consistent top performer having demonstrated the ability to influence key consultants, contractors, and end-users to drive opportunities through these relationships and interactions. The role will have full leadership and operational support to engage and win on larger and strategic projects and make a significant positive impact on the Ainsworth Business and be rewarded as such.


Responsibilities

  • Fully communicate features and benefits of various building automation technologies including smart building technology and integrations of key systems.
  • Understand system architectures and be able to develop logical plans for system upgrades, migrations, and optimization.
  • Establish relationships with new customers, securing contracts that achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and targets
  • Maintain and develop a network of relationships with owners, contractors, consultants, and partners to influence RFP’s and create winning submissions.
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
  • Work with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements
  • Report on sales activity bi-monthly or as required to Manager and keep company CRM sales pipeline current with updates occurring at least weekly
  • Work with delivery teams and Manager to proactively address barriers to sales
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the third party and partner companies that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers
  • Work with President and marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns
  • Provide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
  • Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings
  • Identify sales support requirements and work with management to develop improved sales tools
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace

 
Education and Experience

  • A proven and consistent sales performer with 5-10 years of relevant experience in direct sales in a Building Automation business environment with demonstrated success achieving and exceeding annual targets.
  • Experience with Delta and Schneider systems would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and communication protocols for automation and networking of systems, and more advanced solutions.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email applications
  • A proven systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking
  • Excellent proficiency and working knowledge of the English language both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a heavy workload
  • Professional, friendly, exceptional interpersonal skills
