Position Summary:
The Foreman is primarily responsible for mentoring and coordinating all the workings at a job or project site including that of a crew of technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors. He/She will establish and adjust work timelines to meet the construction schedules for the projects, and assist with organizing and coordinating all project materials and equipment. The Foreman will also ensure that all work installed is completed in accordance with the standards set forth by Delta Connects with a focus on quality. All work will be completed on budget, on time, and in accordance with
all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, assigns, schedules, and supervises/mentors the work of Technicians, Apprentices and helpers engaged in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of projects or service orders. 
  • Trains and instructs team on detailed procedures.
  • Conducts periodic inspections and gives on-site supervision over hazardous or unusual work assignments; assures availability of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Keeps track of the hours and other costs required for projected jobs; keeps track of costs and job progress to work with the Operations Team on financial tracking and manpower forecasting.
  • Enforces safety regulations, rules, and working conditions.
  • Recruits and trains personnel in the safe operation of equipment, tools and successful project completions.

Qualifications:

  • Current LEB/LEA/General Journeyman License for Oregon mandatory
  • O6 License for Washington optional
  • 5 years experience in the Controls/DDC or Construction Field
  • Experience mentoring and/or managing other electricians/apprentices
  • Experience or familiarity with BMS and/or Access Control Systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to forecast
  • Comfortable with a PC in the office answering emails and also comfortable being out in the field to mentor/train.
