Position Summary:

The Manager, Industrial Electronics is responsible for the profitably growing the Industrial Electronics field service business and a shop-based electronic circuit board level repair centre. The Manager, Industrial Electronics will have top line and responsibility for this operation
including planning, staffing, human resource development, capital equipment recommendation's gross margin, cost control, and financial performance to plan.

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the business operating plan (budget) for the Industrial Electronics Operation, focused on growing the business profitably.
  • Working directly with customers to communicate our capabilities and develop and close new business opportunities.
  • Ensures that all operations achieve high levels of productivity and efficiency by enforcing performance standards and implementing process improvement and best practices.
  • Recruits and hires quality individuals who possess the necessary skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Recommends and provides business cases for capital assets.
  • Facilitates the scheduling, management and monitoring of technical and financial aspects of service projects.
  • Provides financial and/or operational reports, forecasts and other documentation as required.
  • Works closely with transactional and corporate sales force to increase sales and services to Ainsworth customers.
  • Resolves any concerns, complaints or disputes expeditiously.
  • Working closely with electronic equipment manufactures to become "certified" as a repair and service centre for their products.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures

 Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in supervision of an electronic product repair facility.
  • Diploma/degree in electronic technician/technologist program.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Diplomacy and ability to exercise independent judgement.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work within a fast paced environment, and prioritize conflicting demands.
