Construction Project Manager

- Self-motivated, high energy, progressive attitude, and sound judgment in day-to-day decision making
- Oversee and enforce company/project safety policies to ensure a safe working environment
- Review monthly project forecasts financial reports
- Review signed client contracts to understand project scope, inclusions and exclusions
- Review all project leveling sheets for subs and vendors, inclusions and exclusions
- Review contract documents for strategic time and buyout saving opportunities
- Monitor shop drawings, submittals, releases, ship dates
- Provide general mediation and troubleshooting throughout the construction process
- Address cost overruns, allocate costs accordingly (sub/vendor back-charges)
- Attend field meetings as required
- Meet w/Ainsworth project directors to ensure subs, vendors and releases are on schedule
- Communicate and meet w/client to develop & nurture relationship
- Monitor client approval of all change orders & back charge issues
- Ensure client back charges are expeditiously resolved
- Aggressively follow up weekly on aging AR, and purchase orders for change order work
- Manage finances and cash flow of each project ensuring all projects risks are kept to a minimum
- Maintain relationship with customers with the intent of future business development
- Monitor and approve subcontractor and vendor billing
- Review RFIs (Request for Information) for questions and clarifications needed during bidding process.
- Oversee quick project close outs
- Review final scheduling for job to confirm client meets move in date
- Pursue end-user service agreements for the Ainsworth Service Division
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Mechanical Construction industry.
- Skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, ACAD, Procore, and document repository software a plus
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role within the Mechanical construction industry.
- Proven sophisticated understanding of scope, schedule, cost, quality, resource, and deliverable management.
- Ability to manage multiple project types simultaneously
- Previous experience managing and performing in a matrix organization.
- Effective communicator, written and oral with the ability to present to management.
- Previous experience managing multifunctional direct reports
- Financial knowledge, ability to define/track project/program financials such as Budget, Margin, Invoicing, Revenue recognition
- High Level of Organization and Scheduling Abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
