Summary:

Plumbing Supervisor required immediately for commercial projects

Responsibilities:

 
  • Supervision of plumbing field teams and subcontractors on projects to ensure schedules are met, safety protocols are being followed and costs/budgets are on target.
  • Ensure accurate layout of work with field teams in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Mentor staff and provide guidance, conduct weekly safety/toolbox meetings.
  • Participate in the pricing of changed/additional work when required.
  • Attend project turnover meetings, start-up meetings, and ongoing progress meetings.
  • Attending final site walkthroughs, site reviews and ensure that deficiencies are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform material take-offs, coordinating material delivery and ensuring received orders are accurate and accounted for to maximize field productivity. 
  • Collaborate with project administrators/coordinators on logistics, trade permits, inspections and overall scheduling.
  • Ensure due diligence regarding Prime Contractor requirements.
  • Attend weekly manpower meetings and monthly safety/operations meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and protocols.
  • Fulfill project manpower requirements by working with management through the hiring process.
  • Review all safety forms, policies and procedures and jointly work with safety specialists and all teams to ensure compliance to HSE Standards. 
  • Any other responsibilities directed by management.
Qualifications:

 
  • Minimum (5) years commercial experience supervising teams.
  • Red Seal Journeyman with Gas ticket (other trade certification may be recognized)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Commercial buildings and facilities. 
  • Working knowledge of current local codes, standards and regulations.
  • Ability to make good and timely decisions, strong time management skills, and well-organized.
  • Strong commitment to safety with the ability to enforce strict safety protocols and guidelines.
