Description

OPEXUS has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level software engineer with 3+years of hands-on web development experience and proven abilities to support software development activities through its full lifecycle.  The scope of work includes design and development of web applications using JavaScript to ensure business requirements are met with a high-quality UI experience. Tasks will include maintaining code and assisting in automated testing, on-going security monitoring and providing technical support when in operations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills and be a US Citizen with an Active secret clearance.  Candidates must have the ability and interest to work on a range of different types of projects and business processes.

The position is primarily remote with occasional visits to offices at a metro-accessible DC location.

Position Description

●        Work independently and collaboratively on a multi-disciplined project team supporting an agile development methodology.

●        Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions as well as customer requirements sessions to support the implementation of Web applications.

●        Design and develop clear and maintainable code

●        Complete assigned development tasks on time and on budget

●        Interact with a multi-disciplined team to clarify analyze, assess requirements-

●        Actively involved in the design, development and testing activities for web applications.

Required Skills and Experience

●        Web Application development experience

●        Developing applications with JavaScript frameworks such as, React, NodeJS, NextJS

●        Knowledgeable in HTML5/CSS

●        Experience with construction and integration with REST APIs and XML/JSON data modeling

●        Experience working with SQL/NoSQL Databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Postgres, Oracle)

●        Agile software development methodology

Experience with these other skills are a plus

●        Azure/AWS Cloud development

●        AzureDev or similar DevOps CI/CD tools

●        AJAX/JavaScript/JQuery

●        GraphQL

●        Experience with other software languages and platforms

●        Mobile development using frameworks such as, React Native, Xamarin, Swift

Education

●        B. S. degree or equivalent experience

Required license or certification

●        US Citizen with active Secret Clearance
