Protection Services Officer

Temporary Part-Time (Up to 24 hours per week; must be available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends; minimum of 8 days per month)

Located in downtown Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario (“AGO”) is a 575,000 sq. ft. complex, triple A property. The Protections Services Officer will provide an excellent customer service experience by liaising with the public and our visitors, while also monitoring entrances, galleries, and the physical plant to ensure the safety of the collection, visitors and our plant is maintained. He/She/They is also be responsible for ensuring all security procedures, health and safety policies and appropriate legislative laws are adhered to and provide a first response in all emergency situations.

This role is best suited for someone who has:

  • A Valid Ontario Security License.
  • A First Aid Certificate.
  • Well-developed customer service skills.
  • Directly related experience and advanced knowledge of security practices and procedures.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
