Your role

We seek a Procurement Specialist to join the Procurement Department and grant the availability and supply of raw materials with different suppliers on time to ensure the proper service and stock level in the Els Monjos plant.
 

What you will do

  • Plan and coordinate the supply of raw materials with different suppliers to cover requested productions according to MRP and consumptions, and consider the specific factors of every supplier.
  • Daily follow-up production and sourcing plan to ensure the right stock and service level.
  • Detect and prevent supply risks to minimize these with proper actions on time to avoid shortages in the plant.
  • Control and optimize stocks according to the production needs plan and avoid overstocks, obsolescence, and supply gaps.
  • Evaluation of capacity following deliveries and requested needs. Also, consider contract levels negotiated by buyers.
  • Coordination and collaboration with Scheduling and Production planning teams to follow-up production plans and risk assessments.
  • Manage proper system setups to ensure an efficient and optimal sourcing plan.  And place the POs in the system according to the alignments with suppliers.
  • Supervise and validate invoices not automatically approved by the system due to price/quantity differences. And manage indirect Purchase Orders to authorize differences driven by specific costs.
  • In collaboration with the team, identify and implement new initiatives on processes and tools to continuously improve and grow.
  • Assure a collaborative approach and fluid communication with the team, suppliers, and the different departments involved in daily tasks (Purchasing, Sales&Op, Production Planning, Logistics, Formulation, Quality…).
 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with at least 2 years of experience working in Procurement/Planning/Logistics
  • Hold a business degree or engineering degree ideally specializing in planning, logistics, operations, or similar.
  • Fluent level of English
  • Experience with SAP and a good level of Excel
  • Knows how to deal with pressure
  • Have strong interpersonal skills
