Your Role
We are looking for a Trainee to join the Growth Team, working at the heart of the Innovation team. This team plays a strategic role in the company:
- Identifying the forces shaping the future of pet nutrition
- Guiding the organization towards new opportunities
- Building the innovation platforms that our global and local brands will develop into future-winning products and experiences

As a trainee, you will contribute to this mission by bringing fresh curiosity, analytical thinking, and a strong appetite for trends and innovation. You will collaborate closely with the Global Brands team, Digital team and the Local Marketing teams to ensure that the insights and platforms created truly inspire, guide, and accelerate growth across the company.
This is a unique opportunity to join the strategic engine that shapes the future of innovation at Affinity Petcare.
What you will do
- Continuously analyse emerging trends in both human food and pet food, identifying signals of change in ingredients, claims, formats, packaging, and consumer behaviours.
- Stay updated on trends coming from more mature or innovation‑driven markets to detect potential opportunities for our brands and innovation pipeline.
- Translate trends into concise insights and inspiration for the Innovation team.
- Conduct monthly competitor tracking across our key geographies, monitoring new product launches, brand activations, claims evolution, formats, and sustainability advancements.
- Support in identifying white spaces and areas of opportunity from a category and consumer perspective.
- Collaborate with the Digital team to integrate digital consumer signals, social listening outputs, and online behaviours into trend and innovation analysis.
- Support the team preparing benchmarks, trend boards, reports, and inspiration materials.
- Collaborate in the development of specific innovation projects
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or similar
- Excellent level of English and Spanish
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office: Excel and PowerPoint
- High learning capacity and curiosity
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Proactivity, energy and adaptability to change
- Ability to work in teams and communication skills
- You can sign an internship agreement with your school
