National Key Account Manager
Description
As National Key Account Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Affinity’s commercial strategy for the most strategic national clients. This role is critical to drive profitable growth, strengthening long-term partnerships, and leading the development of the Petfood category as a Category Captain. We are looking for someone with experience in key account management, with drive and energy to exceed set objectives, with an entrepreneurial spirit and ownership.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for each key client, aligned with company objectives.
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements, sales conditions, promotions, and joint business plans, seeking mutual benefit and profitability.
- Manage the full P&L for assigned accounts.
- Act as a partner to clients to develop the category through Category Management, Perfect Store, and JBPs.
- Monitor key commercial KPIs (sell-in/sell-out, market share, assortment share, shelf space, promotional intensity) and identify improvement opportunities. Develop accounts sales forecast and monitor their fullfillment.
- Present new products, innovations, and commercial strategies persuasively to generate incremental sales and add value to the category.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure flawless execution of account plans.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities within existing accounts to increase penetration and product range.
- Communicate account needs and demands effectively across the organization.
What We Are Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or similar. Postgraduate or Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in national key account management within FMCG, with proven success in negotiation, business development and key account management. Commercial background in Trade Marketing/Customer Trade Marketing area will be very well valued.
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the FMCG channel in Spain.
- Experience managing complex agreements with large accounts.
- Familiarity with Trade Marketing strategies and POS management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools.
