Your Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to join our dynamic finance team in Italy. This role will be responsible for the financial planning and analysis for our Italian market, reporting to the Finance Manager of the Country. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the Marketing team by developing financial business cases for innovation projects with a cross-country scope.  This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in driving the financial performance of a growing market within a leading multinational pet food company.
 
What you will do
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and provide insightful recommendations to management to optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including dashboards, closing conference calls, and management committee presentations, to effectively communicate financial performance to key stakeholders.
  • Review preliminary Closing numbers, posting adjustments if needed, ensuring a full revenues & expenses representation on a monthly basis.
  • Actively participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing financial valuations of sales forecasts and offering a full P&L perspective on a monthly basis, while identifying risks & opportunities.
  • Lead the annual budget and quarterly estimate processes collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial coherence and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support Marketing team in building financial business cases for innovation project with cross-country scope.
  • Support Sales team in negotiation with Key Clients by analysing the financial implication of different contact terms and help to negotiate favourable deals
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the long-term strategic plan, providing financial planning and analysis support.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to the Sales & Marketing departments, providing ad-hoc decision support on pricing, promotions, advertising campaigns, portfolio management, and innovation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the implementation of new dashboarding and analytics projects.
 
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably within a multinational FMCG environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a must, while experience with SAP and/or Oracle Hyperion Planning are highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide concise insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
