The role

We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our Sales Team in the UK. Being responsible for strategic accounts, your mission will be to foster sales growth across key clients. You will be collaborating with trade marketing & marketing teams to support sell-out activities and ensure an outstanding point of sales execution, maximizing the potential of our brands through JBP (joint business plans) with our partners.
This position reports to the United Kingdom Commercial Director and is located in our working Space in London (minimum 2 days a week)

What you will do

Core Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Commercial Director
  • Responsible for the Key Account Management of several national specialty channel
  • accounts (mainly Garden Center accounts) within the UK and Wholesalers
  • Define, negotiate and execute JBP (joint business plans) with the assigned Key Accounts, maximizing joint business potential and aligning it with strategic priorities
  • Build strong client relationships, through regular communication (remote and on-site)
  • Track and report on the status of accounts from a sales (sell-in and sell-out), sales development KPIs and financial perspective
  • Together with Sales Development and Marketing, prioritise category management and define and implement optimal assortment to maximise customers’ full potential
  • Working transversally with Sales Development, Finance and Operations to contribute to have an overall commercial vision of the Clients in charge
  • Business development: prospection of new accounts, negotiation and opening
Additional Responsibilities
  • Promotional calendar definition and promotional effectiveness analysis
  • Customer Sell Out Data Analysis (and tracking implementation if required) for his/her own accounts
  • New Line Form Completion
  • Scenario Planning and Forecasting
  • Promotional forms and forecasting / Calendars (with support of Sales Development)
  • Managing Central Data Repositories
  • Store visits as required

What we are looking for

  • BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven work experience in Sales and/or Sales Development
  • Experience with CRM and sell-out software highly valued (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience
  • Experience in grocery channel and/or Specialty Key Accounts highly valued
  • Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills
