Your role
We are looking for a Line Leader for the Production team in our factory in Mantova, who will report to the Cell Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily execution of operational tasks within a specific production line during a shift. This role drives performance in safety, quality, and efficiency while ensuring adherence to standards and continuous improvement initiatives. The Line Leader is also tasked with coordinating and coaching shift operators, managing shift handovers, and upholding world-class manufacturing principles. 
What you will do
  • Performance Management: Lead daily shift handover meetings to define the action plan for the shift. Focus on top issues impacting shift performance and initiate problem-solving. Monitor and improve line efficiency, reduce scrap, and other key cost indicators.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure 100% compliance with safety standards, triggers, and procedures. Conduct Behaviour Observation System (BOS) and Quality Assurance BOS (QA-BOS) reviews to identify unsafe behaviors and ensure quality variables meet targets.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead the shift team, ensuring 100% completion of required training and qualifications. Coach and develop team members, maintaining a skill matrix for coverage and growth. Manage day-to-day personnel issues and promote a strong team spirit.
  • Problem-Solving: Lead or participate in Root Cause Investigation (Flash Report / RDI) for any quality defects or operational losses. Shift the team from reactive to proactive problem-solving.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with other plant departments, such as Reliability Leaders and Technical Support, to address immediate or upcoming shift requirements and prioritize anomalies for quick resolution.
  • Operational Execution: Ensure the on-time completion of planned production orders, focusing on reliability and changeover effectiveness. Serve as a backup for line operators to ensure smooth operations in case of necessity.
 
Who we are looking for 
  • Education: A Secondary Education (High School Diploma) is required, and a Technical Certification or Degree is recommended.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing organization is valuable. The candidate must have hands-on experience in shopfloor operations, safety and quality compliance, and technical issue resolution.
  • Functional Expertise: A strong understanding of production processes, problem-solving, and root cause analysis techniques is necessary. The role requires working knowledge of safety regulations, quality control measures, and basic Autonomous Maintenance concepts.
  • Soft Skills: The ability to develop and guide shift operators, fostering a "One-Team" spirit, is a key competency. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to provide clear direction and conduct effective root cause analysis. A strong learning attitude and the ability to adapt to dynamic production demands are also crucial.
