Your Role

We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the Quality & Environmental Team, who will report to the Quality & Environmental Director. In this role, you will be part of a growing team and collaborate with the other departments (Industrial, Sustainability, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D & Legal).

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Manager to oversee and navigate the complex landscape of regulatory compliance in the pet food industry. The ideal candidate will be open to acquire a deep understanding of regulatory requirements but will also excel in building and maintaining external relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations.

 

What you will do

1.      Design and implement the Regulatory Cluster Roadmap in a competitive way for all the operating countries & brands for Regulatory Compliance:

        Ensure Regulatory Watch and define impacts of new regulation projects with the purpose of management of projects & key decisions

        Ensure comprehensive and on-going knowledge of emerging trends and subjects with potential impact on business objectives (Risk & opportunities)

        Implement and adapt Regulatory Strategy based on business objectives and context

        Support with legal department the management of key strategic disputes, crises, conflicts with regulatory authorities, competitors or other stakeholders

        Develop and cultivate an active set of relationships with the regulatory organization stakeholders (Ex: legal), self-regulatory groups (business leads) and industry stakeholders (sectorial associations)

 

2.      Provide regulatory guidance and support from product conception until artwork approval in order to ensure the regulatory is included since the design phase:

        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into product development processes.

        Stretch the regulatory framework to align R&D, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams with the business objectives.

        Enable achievement of strategic objectives

        Strategic legal & regulatory vision & advice

        Regulatory cluster roadmap definition and implementation

        Compliance to all regulations related to our business (food safety & claims)

        Provide defined tools (procedures, guidelines...) to key stakeholders to enable correct management of labelling, claim validation & advertising

        Maintain high level of expertise & empowerment in regulatory team

What we are looking for

      Proven experience in regulatory affairs, ideally with more than 5 years in a related or equivalent position in pet food industry, pharmaceutical, human food industry or similar.

        Bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, veterinarian (or equivalent)

        Fluent in English and Spanish
