Your role

We are seeking a proactive and strategic-minded Supply Chain Activity Manager to oversee the full Operational part of Product transitions & launches (Activities). This transversal & pivotal role involves orchestrating seamless transitions & launches across various departments including Operations (Purchasing, manufacturing, Planning & Logistics), Marketing, Sales, and Finance (Master Data, Customer Service). The position will report to Sales & Operation Planning Manager and will cover our Europe footprint from Barcelona.


What you will do

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the availability of products during transitions & launches, minimizing out-of-stock situations, and managing packaging write-off costs associated with obsolete inventory:      

  • Product Transition & Launches Management: Lead and coordinate product transitions & launches across different departments. Assuring all Master Data involved in any of these activities is perfect. Controlling main milestones timings that guarantee no delay in Time to Market.
  • Demand Visibility: Provide visibility to all areas of the organization regarding product launches and rebrandings, including stock availability, potential out-of-stock situations, and packing write-off costs associated with old packaging.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and facilitate effective communication during product transitions.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with product transitions, such as freshness risks and operational disruptions, by working closely with relevant teams to develop contingency plans.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product transitions & launches, such as service levels and inventory turnover, and time to market.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes related to product transitions & launches to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the supply chain.

 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with at least 5 years of experience in a similar supply chain management role and a solid Planning background within the fast-moving consumer goods industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Strong analytical capability with attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
