Your Role

We are looking for a Team Area Manager, reporting directly to the Field Sales Manager Spain. In this role, you will have the responsibilities of a team of approximately 4 Sales Representatives, covering the hypermarkets and supermarkets in the area of Cataluña, Aragon and Balearic Islands (exact geographic scope might be slightly different). You will define for your team the optimal route to market, pushing for their excellence in the point of sales while improving Perfect Store KPIs and best-in-class commercial execution.

 

More in detail, you will push them to accelerate the sellout of our products at store level, through the commercial levers of assortment, distribution, share of shelf, secondary placement as well as securing and upgrading all the headquarter agreements, such as promotional execution.

As Area Manager, you will lead, train and coach your team of sales representatives, empowering them towards their best performance, defining their route to market and their objectives together with the Field Sales Manager.


You will also be leading key strategic and transformational projects, such as the route to market definition and the rollout of a new CRM tool, in collaboration with the trade marketing and perfect store departments.

 

What you will do

        Team management: improve your team of sales representatives’ performance, via better presence in-store through assortment, share of shelf, and secondary placement

        Ensure that your team perfectly executes in-store what’s negotiated by the team of national and regional KAMs, and go further whenever it’s possible

        Maximize our field coverage effectively and efficiently, promoting your team engagement and development, coaching them and monitoring their performance

        Help the organization to put in place the new Perfect Store approach, store execution and store scoring

        Be a key agent of change in the modernization and professionalization of our field sales team

        Foster a winning and growth mindset, always looking for more and better

        Working hand by hand with KAMs, Sales development and Perfect Store teams to build a partnership that strengthen the plans working towards shared objectives

        Participate in annual customer business plans to identify customer needs and potential business opportunities at local level

        Ensure your team is trained in effective sales skills and understands the features and benefits of our products to consumers, why our product is better than competition and how it fits into the marketplace

        Lead key strategic projects, such as a new route to market tool and a new CRM tool

 

What we are looking for

        Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales, or a related field

        Spanish and English as main languages

        Approximately 10 years of experience in field sales, in FMCG business

        High level of Microsoft Excel mandatory, as well as overall digital proficiency

        Ideally, the candidate has already led a team of professionals, promoting a high-performance culture

        Experience in Perfect Store, store scoring methodology, excellence in execution

        Strong commercial skills, results oriented and problem-solving and with a customer centric mindset

        Outstanding communication and presentation skills, being able to persuade the audience (externally and internally) with clear messages and ability to engage

        Ability to coach your team on sales skills, sales techniques, negotiations skills

        Understand and manage commercial levers at local level, and their impact in the sellout

        Deep penetration to customers and how to approach them (knowledge of the retailers’ organization, regional directors, hypermarkets directors)

        Soft skills: we are looking for an optimistic and positive candidate, with a strong winning mindset and relentless energy, to be a change agent in our field sales organization

        Confident, driven and dynamic leader able deal with change management and to make the team members grow

        We are looking for a candidate with a winning and “yes we can” mindset, able to break the status quo to overcome barriers and focus on opportunities
