What we offer
As part of the Sales Development Team in the BU Grocery Iberia, the Commercial Excellence Manager assumes responsibility for leading the two main strategic levers of the commercial area. We offer the opportunity to join an exciting team where you will define processes and content to maximize business impact through robust and trusted relationships with other commercial roles and key stakeholders such as Marketing and Finance. Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, this role will manage a direct report to support and develop the Perfect Store area.
 
What you will do

Perfect Store:

  • Define and lead the point of sale execution strategy in cooperation with the National Field Sales Manager and Area Managers.
  • Design the Picture of Success by channel (offline & online).
  • Ensure a Point of Sales execution plan aligned with commercially defined priorities.
  • Co-lead and monitor the implementation of a new retail execution tool (Salesforce), playing a key role in coordinating between IT and Commercial.
  • Perfect Store Dashboard: Define and monitor KPIs; Store scoring: define the store scoring model and design a dashboard to track the picture of success; Conduct post-mortem analysis of main promotions or extra visibility actions, quantifying their impact on sales and profitability; Track out-of-stock occurrences and measure their impact on business performance, working on mitigation and action plans.
  • Merchandising material: Continuously innovate and improve point of sale visibility materials; Ensure timely and accurate implementation.
  • A&P Trade Budget: Rigorous control and follow-up in cooperation with the Sales Development Manager.
 
RGM:
  • Winning portfolio: Define portfolio priorities in terms of distribution to maximize growth and profitability, in cooperation with the Marketing department; Define and monitor distribution targets for Hero SKUs; Identify opportunities for contribution in retailers and boost ad-hoc plans.
  • Price & Promotion: Monitor market context pulse: price vs. competitors, price elasticity, and definition of price architecture; Define and analyze new tariffs based on business priorities and objectives; Ensure an efficient promotional policy in cooperation with FP&A.
  • Customer & Brand Mix: In cooperation with our KAM Team, identify opportunities to improve mix in retailers and define specific plans to maximize business performance (top line and/or profitability).
  • Customer Business Plans: Support the team to build robust and meaningful CBPs to define customer strategy and identify growth opportunities together with the customers; Manage scenarios based on Top Line, Gross Margin, and Profit pools.

What we are looking for

  • University degree (ADE, Economics, Engineering…).
  • Consolidated experience in Trade Marketing in FMCG with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
  • Knowledge and experience (1-2 years) in managing commercial conditions and customer negotiation.
  • Advanced financial skills and business acumen (P&L, Gross to Net, Profit Pools…).
  • Proven experience leading transversal projects successfully.
  • Data analytics skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Teamwork, proactivity, and commitment.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Point of sale management experience and Sell Out & Sell In analysis will be valued as a plus.
