The Role
We are currently expanding our presence in the veterinarian channel and are seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to join us in developing this segment further.
The objective is to deploy diverse strategies aimed at accelerating sales growth and nurturing enduring relationships across the accounts within the veterinarian channel.
What you will do:
  • Develop a business plan for the veterinary channel in collaboration with brand managers and the Sales Development team.
  • Oversee the full responsibility of assigned accounts' Profit and Loss statements.
  • Manage trade terms, annual negotiations, and counterparts within the Veterinary Ecosystem (Central Purchasing, GIE, and CC).
  • Define, implement, and analyze promotional and visibility plans to drive business development.
  • Ensure the execution and tracking of the business plan.
  • Forecast volume and monitor demand planning throughout the year.
  • Identify business opportunities through prospecting.
  • Coordinate with Customer Marketers and Sales Development to maximize brand visibility for Key Clients.
  • Periodically analyze and control client results in terms of volume, billing, investment analysis, and cost ratios to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Support field teams by ensuring compliance with established commercial policies.
  • Collaborate across departments such as Sales Development, Finance, Marketing, Field Force, and Operations to maintain an overall commercial vision for assigned clients.
  • Monitor, observe, and report on competitors' objectives, plans, actions, and conditions for each client in the veterinary channel.
What we are looking for
  • Degree in veterinary science, biology, agricultural engineering, pharmacy, medicine, chemistry, health sciences, or Business Administration.
  • Previous experience in similar roles, preferably in the veterinary channel within pharmaceutical companies.
  • Category Management experience: Develop client account plans to maximize turnover and profit through promotions, assortment, and visibility.
  • Analytical skills: Identify business sources, risks, and opportunities, define promotional plans, and make adjustments based on insights.
  • Direct client interaction: Persuasive negotiation, persistent prospecting skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and empathy.
  • Fluency in French and English is essential; Spanish proficiency is advantageous.
