Your role     

As a Vegetal Origin Ingredients Category Manager, your role will be to design a complete strategy in cereal and vegetal origin ingredients in line with Affinity Sustainability and Business strategy in collaboration with Vegetal Origin Ingredients Purchasing Manager and other Category Managers in Barcelona within the Purchasing and Operations team. 

What you will do  

• Develop and deploy a strategy for the future of the Vegetal Origin Category.
• Ensure availability of key ingredients in the future with the required quality level.
• Explore new sourcing markets for existing ingredients.
• Identify new vegetal protein ingredients with a competitive nutritional profile / cost ratio.
• Develop in collaboration with the supplier pool, the sustainability opportunities identified within the responsible sourcing pillar (No deforestation, Regenerative Agriculture, Traced origin ingredients…).
• Collaborate with New product development and Marketing Departments on communication plans about new ingredients & sustainability on vegetal origin ingredients.
• Develop a supplier relationship model for Vegetal Origin Category and explore new ways of collaboration with strategic suppliers.
• Manage the team of vegetal origin category, currently one buyer, to help them achieve their challenges and develop their career.

What we are looking for     

• At least 6 years’ experience in Purchasing area, leading and buying ingredients. Coming from fast moving consumer goods, food or vegetal products sector.
• University Degree.
• Additional education in Sustainability and food related topics will be welcome.
• Availability to travel across our sourcing perimeter. (Mainly EU)
• English is a must.
• SAP user knowledge.
• Negotiation skills.
