Your Role

We are looking for a Trade Category Manager position in the Natural Specialty Business Unit, based in Milan, reporting to our Trade marketing manager. You will be accountable for ensuring our brands growth in the specialist channel (petshop chains and independent stores), managing all the trade marketing levers to execute brands strategies.

 

What you will do

  • Develop and implement the category strategy defining:  assortment guidelines per channel; promotional and visibility guidelines.
  • Drive sales performance analysing sell in and sell out results on monthly basis by channels/customers to have a clear understanding of drivers / drainers and get insights to develop the category.
  • Monitor competition activities to better detect market trends and identity further opportunities to grow
  • Act as the trade category expert, developing annual activity plan, aligning with key stakeholders and leading its execution with cross-functional team (sales, operations, customer service)
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and get promo learnings.
  • Develop brand POS materials catalogue to ensure proper visibility in store and drive sell out
  • Manage A&P, according to the assigned budget
  • Collaborate cross-functionally working closely with the direct and indirect sales team structure, with local Marketing and Supply Chain team, building strong and trusted relationships to align strategies and ensure smooth execution of plans.

 

What we are looking for

  • University Degree on Business, Economics or similar
  • 5 years of experience in a trade marketing position within a FMCG business
  • Strategic mindset and a hands-on profile, an experience on the field is a nice to have
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Results oriented: a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales target and driving business growth
  • Strong communicator: excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all the levels of the organization
