Your Role
We are looking for an Indirect Senior Buyer in Professional Services Categories to join the team and help us expand the role of Indirect Procurement inside Affinity.
In 2021 Affinity initiated a project to transform the way Indirect Purchases are managed in the company to achieve cost efficiencies, transparency, and control in all areas. Today we keep building on the Indirect Procurement strategy and aim to expand the coverage.
What you will do
Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Manager, the position involves the following responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Indirect Procurement Manager to design and implement an action plan that captures incremental savings while delivering maximum added value to the business. This requires maintaining a balance between cost, service, and quality.
- Working closely with internal clients to ensure early involvement and building partner relationships.
- Contributing to change management and implementing new ways of working and the new purchasing platform internally. This includes delivering continuous training for newcomers in the company.
- Defining and implementing the category strategy for key categories.
- Managing procurement initiatives, leading procurement projects, optimizing costs, and negotiating contracts.
- Collaborating with the legal department in contract negotiation.
- Contributing to implementing supplier management processes for the categories in scope, including evaluation, development, and more.
- Searching for the best-in-class suppliers for the business and managing the supplier base.
- Reporting cost savings and efficiencies periodically.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a person with at least 4-5 years of experience as an indirect buyer, willing to face new challenges and take on responsibilities.
- Holds a Business Degree.
- Demonstrates excellent command in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Has fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages such as French or Italian would be considered a plus.
- Experience in an e-sourcing platform would be valued.
- Experience in managing IT categories is highly valued, along with Professional Services categories.
- Possesses strong negotiation skills.
- Can build business-partnering relationships with stakeholders.
- Can make decisions and take leadership in managing categories.
- Possesses high technical and analytical skills.
- Can work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Is self-driven and autonomous.
