 The Room Reservations Manager is responsible for support in overseeing, supervising and directing the day to day activities of the Reservation Supervisors, Agents and PBX Operators to ensure the smooth flow of operations of the Room Reservations and PBX departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to work flexible working hours
  • Must have the ability to motivate and direct others
  • Enforces company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Issues counseling notices and/or disciplines employees who violate the same
  • Updates employee files with required documents
  • Coordinates with the different departments concerned regarding changes in promotions, events hotel rates, etc
  • Updates all reservation related boards on these changes
  • Answers all guests and Agents related questions
  • Prepares and submits the required reports
  • Maintains and monitors rooms from all group blocks
  • Researches and resolves credit card dispute relating to guest reservations
  • Attends to customers and travel agents complaints and problems
  • Attends meetings and other reservation related functions
  • Responsible for carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures
  • Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring; training; planning; assigning and directing work; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints from both guests and employees; resolving problems

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training and minimum one (1) year PBX supervisory experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports
  • Ability to communicate well and be able to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; and ability to resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and a sense of urgency
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand and walk around the room; use hands to push keys and type; and regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
