Responsible for: Management and oversight of all Marketing functions; Advertising, Direct Mail, Promotions,  Player’s Club, and Casino Marketing; Management and oversight of all property Gaming Operations including Keno and Slot Operations/Slot Performance.  This position is a salaried position will pay up to $81k DOE. This position supports and reports to the Vice President/General Manager.


  1. Creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to make Rail City Casino their choice for gaming entertainment.
  2. Manages the overall operation of Slot Operations, Slot Performance, Table Games, Keno and Marketing Operations.
  3. Hires, trains, counsels and evaluates staff, ensuring team members receive the training, support, adequate guidance and necessary resources to accomplish established objectives.
  4. Disciplines employees in accordance with company policies, up to and including separation of employment.
  5. Ensures that all departments are operated in accordance with Rail City Casino’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  6. Ensures that all departments maintain an atmosphere of professionalism while inducing fun and excitement that benefits both the team members and guests in accordance with our culture and value guidelines.
  7. Ensures that Direct Reports have the necessary training, tools and resources to accomplish their goals and fulfill their responsibilities.
  8. Establishes departmental standards in accordance with all regulations and internal controls.
  9. Helps develop and ensure the company’s system of internal controls meet and/or exceed the Nevada Minimum Internal Control system with a thorough knowledge of these regulations, including Title 31.
  10. Establishes training programs including the development and selection of internal departmental manuals, policies, procedures and all materials used for training.
  11. Oversees the fair and equitable application of coaching and disciplinary actions as well as positive reinforcement and recognition.
  12. Works with the finance departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data for all areas of responsibility, including development of future budgets.
  13. Works with all staff to ensure maximized profits through the proper utilization of the games, team members through scheduling and staffing levels, and control of departmental expenses in order to maintain the levels of service required for the business levels.
  14. Analyze all sources of data to determine the proper game mix, types, quantity, availability and location for maximum play and profits including the analysis of new game products and their potential value and performance as compared with industry standards, competitive models and the company’s existing performance levels.
  15. Ensure the overall satisfaction and comfort of the guests.
  16. Interact on a daily basis with all staff and other operational departments to maintain open communication and collect feedback.
  17. Other related duties as assigned.



Must be able to communicate well in all conditions, and able to respond in a positive manner to guest or team member issues, ensuring all guests receive the best possible experience.  Oversee Marketing Coordinator daily functions and schedules.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  All Employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.


Must have a minimum of 5 years in casino management positions and thorough working knowledge of Slot Operations, Table Games, including but not limited to Blackjack, Keno and Player’s Club. Must also have a thorough working knowledge of Casino Marketing, Promotions and Advertising. High School diploma or GED required.



Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and Alcohol Awareness Card required.


Must be able to effectively communicate in English.


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 


Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
