Position at Affinity Gaming

The Purchasing Buyer will be working out of the corporate office in Las Vegas, NV, conducting the duties below for Affinity Gaming’s casino properties; will be a liaison for corporate with each property’s purchasing staff and vendors. 


  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Stratton Warren and Red Rock Purchasing systems is preferred.
  • Receives requisitions for supplies and services needed by the different departments.
  • Reviews the requisition forms to ensure that they have the required approvals before processing.
  • Coordinates with the different departments regarding questions or clarification of details on their requisitions.
  • Contacts the vendors and requests quotes on the supplies or services needed based on submitted requisitions.
  • Determines the lowest price for the best product based on received bid sheets.
  • Prepares the Purchase Order (PO) according to the lowest bidder and forwards the PO for approval based on system approval levels.
  • Places Credit Card orders when appropriate.
  • Coordinates with receiving to monitor delivery of items purchased.
  • Follows up with the vendors on delays and arranges for new delivery dates.
  • Receives and approves Invoice Price Variance Reports from Accounts Payable.
  • Checks and verifies price discrepancies between the PO and Invoice
  • Submits the correct pricing to Accounts Payable upon approval of immediate supervisor.
  • Meets with new and established vendors to keep abreast of current market trends and resolve any problems as the need arises.
  • Files all released POs and confirmation letters from vendors, bid sheets and other important documents of the department.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have one (1) to three (3) years related Purchasing experience and/or training preferably within the hotel and casino industry.


  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a local valid driver license.
  • Must obtain and maintain multiple gaming licenses.
