The I.T. Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all computer systems equipment and related software, maintaining consistent helpdesk policy, assisting computer users with hardware and software needs, and performing the daily routines associated with maintaining and backing up critical company data and services. This entry-level position requires a basic knowledge of computer and server environments' methods, practices, procedures, and regulations.  


  1. Physically maintains computer servers, switches, workstations, peripherals, and associated equipment.
  2. Standardizes all workstation setups and schedules periodic maintenance and support for workstations as needed.
  3. Ensures proper physical computer and network security procedures are in place and enforced.
  4. Assists computer users and customers with computer software and hardware problems, including assisting with the repair and maintenance of casino systems and networks.
  5. Maintains network and system reliability in a 24/7 environment and recommends corrections and deficiencies to upper management.
  6. Maintains system data backups and ensures backup policies and procedures are met.
  7. Maximizes efficiency and productivity of all computer systems and data communication requirements.
  8. Adds and maintains network access rights, adding users and securing data on the network according to departmental and company policies.
  9. Assists in making recommendations for computer equipment and upgrades.
  10. Maintains vendor software.
  11. Maintains inventory and documentation of all computer equipment, peripherals, and supplies.
  12. Maintain cleanliness and organization of department work areas, computer system areas, and equipment.
  13. Follows all computer security procedures and has appropriate licensing and authorization from the IRGC to work in secure areas and access secure data.
  14. Ensures proper appearance and grooming standards are followed.
  15. Attends all company-required training.
  16. Complies with all Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
  17. Perform all job functions in a safe and responsible manner.
  18. Meets company attendance requirements.
  19. May be required to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. May work on-call rotation, during which the employee must maintain a reasonable distance from the property and access a computer and internet connection.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Gaming License. Valid Driver's License, approved to drive Company vehicles preferred.
