Daily Racing Form is a media company with unique assets for the horse racing industry through its’ Daily Racing Form (DRF) brand. DRF is 127-year-old publication which offers racing information, form and digital products through a wealth of channels.

 

The Role - Compliance Manager which will be reporting to the VP of Compliance with Affinity Interactive, and the job may include Affinity Interactive tasks. 

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to help build and lead our Compliance team in our Las Vegas Office. 

As our product is new to market, this is a superb opportunity for an exceptional candidate to build a Compliance function from the ground up.

Working closely with senior stakeholders the candidate will: 

Be in a team of experts in the development and implementation of regulations and processes in respect of gambling compliance, regulatory compliance and governance

 

  • Ensure compliance with Gambling Commission Licence conditions
  • Responsible for RG, AML, SOF and other compliance related escalations
  • Lead on Responsible Gambling and AML matters, including management, interventions, training, reporting
  • Delivering compliance awareness, advertising & Responsible Gambling training to relevant employees
  • Liaison with other Customer Operations - KYC/Account Security to ensure compliance and regulatory matters are being upheld across the business
  • Work as a liaison with US government crime authorities requiring information and reports on security incidents to include local polices or other law enforcement agencies
  • Ensure the business is focused on Harm Minimisation in all betting and gambling matters and puts Harm Minimisation at the heart of everything, including reporting, intervention processes and developing new tools and techniques
  • Establishes a reporting process to ensure that management is kept appraised of the effectiveness of compliance and problem resolution
  • Management, training and development of the compliance team to ensure all compliance and regulatory matters are being dealt with appropriately
  • Lead on Data Protection matters and hold the role of Data Protection Officer
  • Brief the Exec team on all changes to the regulatory landscape
  • Apply for all licenses and manage license renewals across Digital cross jurisdictions (US)
  • Manage the Account security/KYC and investigations lead team and manage the Source of Funds requirements

The Candidate 

The candidate must have 3-5 or more years' experience within a Compliance function.

Additionally, the candidate should: 



  • The candidate for this role must have experience with the US gaming regulatory market
  • Experienced in building framework/policies for compliance, risk strategy, fraud and AML
  • Established relationships with relevant regulatory/licensing authorities 
  • Experience working with senior management to understand and create risk strategy
  • Self-managing, organised, adaptable individual who demonstrates a strong drive and desire to succeed in a start-up environment
