ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Practices “Genuine Service” to our internal and external customers.
  • Forecast procurement needs and implement procurement strategies.
  • Monitor macro trends in supplier and contract base and implement plans to react.
  • Manage purchasing records in Red Rock.
  • Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers.
  • Identify and develop training opportunities for management team.
  • Process purchase requisitions, approve and issue purchase orders in accordance with Affinity Gaming/Rail City Casino policies and negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner; while maintaining quality standards and specifications.
  • Develop and review purchase requests and ensure authorization as necessary to facilitate the timely purchase of new food products.
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods with user, vendors and other to determine cause of problem and make corrective and preventative action.
  • Track purchasing activity and measurements.
  • Maintain procurement files.
  • Negotiates annual contracts based on cost objectives, market conditions, design and cost models.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with site and company standards of safety.
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Undergraduate degree in Supply management, Operations Management or Accounting preferred.

Three (3) years of purchasing in casino environment.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver License.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

 COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
