SUMMARY:           

The Cage Shift Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Cage while assisting with Cage Cashier duties as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Account for and balance the main bank. Issue banks to other departments as necessary.
  2. Process buys for other departments including Table Games, Slots, Food & Beverage, etc.
  3. Assists guests and team members with exchanging cash and/or coin denominations.
  4. Assists guests with exchanging slot vouchers and table games chips/checks into monetary funds.
  5. Process credit information for guests.
  6. Accurately count monetary funds presented to and received from guests and team members.
  7. Properly and accurately strap, bundle and/or label monetary funds.
  8. Count all coin and paper monies with the use of automated machines.
  9. Properly and accurately complete all paperwork required by in-house, local, state and federal agencies.
  10. Properly verify all checks being cashed through the cage by using all established internal standards up to and including checking with Certegy and Central Credit systems.
  11. Complete Table Games and Slot Department fills.
  12. Complete Slot Department jackpots.
  13. Follow all Nevada State Gaming Control Board regulations. Complete compliance reports as required.
  14. Ensure all Cage team members receive proper training to ensure they can complete their job duties.
  15. Other related duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Directly supervises team members, with supervisory duties including training, assigning and directing work, assisting with performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving problems, and creating schedules to ensure proper coverage.
