What makes an AFF Merchant Care Specialist (Customer Service Representative):  

  • Merchant Care Specialists serve as the contact point for our merchant partners for the day-to-day operations for financial solutions. We aid merchants by providing troubleshooting tips and walk-through next steps in our web portal to assist the customer in choosing American First Finance for their financial solution!

 Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • Assist merchants with questions regarding the merchant portal, troubleshooting, application assistance, rendering decisions, and anything else related to the support of our merchants during the finalization of the sale via telephone or chat support. 
  • Assist customers with questions regarding application assistance, rendering decisions, troubleshooting, and anything else related to the support of the customer during the application process and finalization of the sale via telephone or chat support. 
  • Assist merchants with facilitation of the underwriting process which includes how to use the merchant portal, quick review of customer information, decisions, and overall application to funding process. 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all regulation and compliance codes that American First Finance must follow. Participate in training on applicable laws, customer privacy laws, HR laws and protocols for communicating any non-compliance by anyone in the organization. 

 Qualifications:  

  • Onsite only
  • Bilingual a plus (English & Spanish)
  • Typing skills with proper grammar are needed 
  • Experience with strict adherence to company collections policies 
  • Polite, professional, and courteous communication skills 
  • Customer Service or Merchant Service a plus 
  • Associate degree or higher a plus! 
  • Reliable and predictable attendance
