Job Description: Sales Operations Analyst 

Are you a self-starter who would like to shape the intersection of agriculture and technology? Would you like to create a sales operations function and drive growth?

Advanced Agrilytics is investing in a new Sales Operations capability, and we are looking for team members within this new group. Sales Operations will be accountable for enabling sales growth through competitive market insights, territory planning and go-to market recommendations, sales execution standards and tracking, creating the commercial planning process, and owning CRM. This role will be focused on enabling our sellers to succeed in market while bringing visibility and accountability to our execution standards. The Sales Operations function is critical to our continued growth with the sales team. This position will report to the Sales Operations Director.

Advanced Agrilytics is an agronomic tech company that provides farmers with actionable, customized strategies to deliver sustainable outcomes at the sub-acre level. Our independent hands-on approach combines field specific data with agronomic research to meet farmers at the cross-section of technology and a personal agronomist. With our patented Hex-Grid system, Advanced Agrilytics provides precise recommendations that help farmers manage inputs and resources and maximize profitability in any given environment. Our recommendations, backed with our own research and proprietary data systems, provide operations prescriptions focused on return on investment and independent of product manufacturers and retailers. Founded in 2013, Advanced Agrilytics is rapidly expanding its team across the Midwest. The successful candidate will join a team of industry veterans with experience within agriculture’s leading seed, chemical and agriculture technology companies.

Key responsibilities

Set approach & track execution

  • Develop operational dashboards and metrics to advise sales management on ways to improve sales processes
  • Work directly with sales managers to address gaps in sales execution standard
  • Support commercial planning process with Sales Operations Director, Sales Managers and Grower Direct Business Lead, ensuring regional growth plans meet overall company goals


Create and track incentives

  • Support development and rollout of internal incentives
  • Track execution across organization


Own sales CRM, tools, and pipeline

  • Develop views into pipeline forecast and identify gaps in pipeline by geography for sales managers to address
  • Own CRM and drive hygiene for performance visibility
  • Collect feedback from field on sales tools (e.g., pitch deck), understand conversion rates using tools, and refine content as needed


Develop strategy and insights

  • Size market opportunities across geographies / segments, evaluate existing coverage model, and identify capacity gaps
  • Define future sales segments and GTM
  • Capture feedback from the field and customers regarding challenges on current GTM model
  • Use customer insights and conversion performance analysis to refine sales process



  • 3+ years of sales, marketing insights, or sales operations experience with at least 1 of those years in an analytically focused role
  • Strong results orientation and ability to hold sellers accountable and make data backed decisions
  • High familiarity with CRM systems and other business intelligence tools
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally to accomplish sales support objectives (e.g., Training, HR, Marketing)
  • Experience with complex projects or analysis and a track record of impact
  • Exceptional project management, organization, verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must reside in the US, within ET or CT time zone
  • Willing to travel ~15% of time to Indianapolis, IN
