Job Title: Finance Associate – Part Time

Location:  Remote 

Advanced Agrilytics seeks a Finance Associate with responsibilities including payroll and benefits administration and accounts payable activities. This is a part time, remote position at 20-30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities: 


  • Review bi-weekly timecard entries for accuracy and necessary approvals
  • Prepare and review payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees
  • Serve as point of contact with payroll processing system, and ensures all employee changes (new hires, compensation changes, terminations) are accurately tracked and processed, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Process annual bonus and quarterly variable compensation payments


  • Primary lead for day-to-day benefits administration including new hire enrollments, terminations, coverage changes or benefits questions
  • Coordinate the new employee enrollment process to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions
  • Manage benefit deductions and alignment with payroll system
  • Administer the leave management process, including FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD with employees, managers, HR, and insurance company
  • Partner with external Workers’ Compensation carrier for each state, and process claims in a timely manner
  • Address benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions
  • Process monthly billings from providers and reviews billings for accuracy to approve payment in a timely manner
  • Resolve discrepancies with carriers and payroll
  • Coordinate with third party administrator to manage disability claims according to the plan

Accounts Payable:

  • Reconciliation and entry of weekly and monthly benefits-related invoices for payment
  • Administration of various employee reimbursement and stipend/allowance programs
  • Vendor invoice processing for approvals and payment
  • Reconciliation of monthly company credit card transactions
  • Other finance duties, as needed


  • 2+ years of experience administering, or processing payroll and benefits required
  • Experience with, or understanding of, basic accounts payable principles is preferred
  • Work experience should include knowledge of basic payroll practices, benefits administration or other related experience
  • Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including payroll, benefits, time & attendance, financial systems; experience in Rippling and NetSuite is a plus
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
